On June 19th at 7:30pm, West End Community Chorus invites you to Celebrate Juneteenth with an evening of music, poetry and powerful storytelling.
In honor of the 125th anniversary of Lift Every Voice and Sing, this concert brings together diverse voice to reflect on freedom, faith, and the ongoing journey toward justice.
Featuring music by Margaret Bonds, Harry T. Burleigh, Roland Carter, Moses Hogan, Richard Smallwood, plus music from the Broadway musical Ragtime!
Also featuring the poetry of Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes and Amanda Gorman.
