Sermon Archive
The heart of West End’s week is Sunday Worship at 11am, when we gather in community to worship and share our journey of faith together.
Our Sermon Archive is a place where you can watch past sermons, listen to them, or read the text - whatever is most accessible and nourishing to you.

I Say Amen
This morning we sit and pray in solidarity with our beloved sister church as Middle Collegiate grieves the loss of her Sanctuary. Rev. William Critzman honors this sacred moment by interrogating “amen” and discovering all of the amens that live and breathe in us this day with God’s help.
A Cautionary Tale for Times of Transition
Transitions are hard. Holidays can be hard. Seasons of transition and seasons of holidays can be even harder as they go on and on. In whatever way you’re counting these transitional days, listen in for stories from the history of our faith for the living of these days.
We Are Witnesses
After more years in the wilderness than anyone wanted, the nation of Israel has a new leader. At the very start of his administration, Joshua calls the people to leave behind their false gods and to put their hope in the God of their deliverance and salvation. Is this what they really want; would you? Witness the formation of an ancient people and draw your own conclusions for how we are witnesses today.
Heirs of Salvation
On this All Souls/All Saints Day, we honor the many we have lost this year and remember the promise of salvation that is God’s and therefore ours.
Let’s Make a Deal: A New Sanctuary Story
Representing the New Sanctuary Coalition, Rev. Micah Bucey unearths the human reality and pain within the immigrant detention system. What does it mean to tell a story? How does testimony invite God's creative movement in our world?
Shepherds, Sheep, and Sheep Dogs
With the help of an enthusiastic puppy, West End celebrates four-legged friends during our Blessing of the Animals Sunday. Sheep Dogs remind us of our relationship to order and how we may be sheep and sheep dogs all at once.
