Henry Lee

Director of Music Ministry

Henry grew up with music and church, and it was natural for him to combine these two interests and devote himself to music ministry. He believes in the power of music to bring people together, to foster hope, and to further community outreach.

A creative musician, Henry has performed at various venues in New York City. Before coming to West End, he served for nine years at Grace Lutheran Church in Astoria, Queens, where be rebuilt the choir program and helped the congregation obtain a new pipe organ.

Born in Taiwan and raised in California, Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts in political economy and music from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Music in organ performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

Henry lives in Sunnyside, Queens, with his wife, Yen Yu Chen, their son, Sebastian, and cat, Migo.
