Cor Crescendo of Wales

The Cor Crescendo Choir, from the school Ysgol Glan Clwyd from St. Asaph, Wales was formed in January 2011 to compete in the Welsh Llangollen Eisteddfod’s (a world wide choral festival) first-ever competition for show choirs. As winners they were honored to open the Choir of the World competition at the Eisteddfod itself.

The young, talented singers at Ysgol Glan Clwyd boast many soloists in their own right and have won singing competitions at national and international levels in the annual Eisteddfodau. The Choir regularly takes part in concerts to raise money for good causes, both locally and nationally. During the last month they sang with the renowned Welsh tenor Rhys Meirion and baritone David Kempster in St Asaph Cathedral.

As a reward for all their hard work, the choristers have organized this trip to New York. As one can imagine, they are very excited to be coming to New York, and we’re excited to have them here at West End Collegiate Church.
